BREAKING: Texas Longhorns quarterback Stardom experiencing restrictions as the team gears up for a crucial opening game in the SEC.

Quinn Ewers, the quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, may be sidelined for their next home game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Ewers, a star player for the Longhorns and former Ohio State player, was hurt during the game against the UTSA Roadrunners. He was inactive for the majority of the game and did not play at all in the ULM Warhawks game. There are now worries that he might not play in his debut SEC game versus the Bulldogs.

At the beginning of this week’s practice, head coach Steve Sarkisian told the media that Ewers was a “limited” participant. “If I had to provide you an update, I’d say he’s questionable for this weekend,” Sarkisian said in response to a question regarding his availability for Saturday’s matchup.

In response to questions about Ewers’ degree of discomfort after his injury almost two weeks ago, Sarkisian stated, “I’ll do everything I can to ensure he’s in the best position if he plays.” He underlined that it is crucial to be truthful about Ewers’ condition for the good of the team as well as the individual. Ewers has passed for 691 yards and eight touchdowns so far this season, good for an 87 quarterback rating. Before being forced to leave the game due to an injury, he scored two touchdowns against UTSA.

Sarkisian emphasized the value of being open and honest about Ewers’ pain threshold, saying that doing so is in both of our best interests. Arch Manning will take over as the starter and take on the Bulldogs, who have a somewhat weak defense.

Ewers was limited in his activities, but he did take part in the first practice of the week. In the Longhorns’ SEC opener against the Bulldogs, Manning will need to be ready to take the field once more if he is unable to play. Against UTSA, he passed for 258 yards and two touchdowns, but he also had two interceptions to his name.

Even though Manning is still improving as a player, conference play is about to start, so the matchup might not be too intimidating.

Before the Florida Gators’ game against the Bulldogs, they were considering making some big adjustments in light of their prior performance. They only had two incompletions while taking advantage of Mississippi State’s defense, despite their patchy offensive performance.

The Longhorns may be in a better position than most people think because the Bulldogs lack a dominant defense and are without their primary quarterback, Blake Shapen, because of an injury.
