BREAKING: Arsenal Add 4 New Faces, Bid Farewell to 7 as Transfer Deadline Closes for Arteta

The manager of Premier League club Arsenal Mikel Arteta On deadline day, made a late move by signing Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea, bolstering their offensive options. Arsenal fans had much to be happy about this summer, as the club improved crucial areas in their pursuit of their first Premier League title since 2004, highlighted by Sterling’s signing.

Earlier in the transfer window, Arsenal strengthened their roster with the permanent signings of goalkeeper David Raya, defensive reinforcement Ricardo Calafiori, and midfielder Mikel Merino, who will now compete with Declan Rice, Jorginho, and Thomas Partey for a starting berth. Though the Gunners thought to have completed their business, they made a surprise offer for Sterling, a player with whom Arteta had previously worked while at Manchester City. The Chelsea winger, who was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, will now provide competition and assistance for Bukayo Saka, alleviating a previous issue for the team.

However, the summer was not solely about arrivals. Several players who no longer suit Arteta’s intentions left the Emirates. Aaron Ramsdale, who had lost his starting position to Raya, joined Southampton on deadline day. Mirror Football has chronicled all of Arsenal’s important developments during the transfer window.
