BREAKING: Alabama’s Big Game Blow: Star Player ‘Likely’ Out for Crucial Matchup Against Michigan

Alabama Faces Major Setback Ahead of Bowl Game: Star Tackle Likely Out as Crimson Tide Prepares for Clash with Michigan

The Alabama Crimson Tide has been navigating a turbulent period after missing out on the College Football Playoff, but head coach Kalen DeBoer’s leadership has kept the team focused as they gear up for their bowl game on December 31 against Michigan. Despite the adversity, Alabama’s core starters are expected to suit up for the highly anticipated ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Florida. However, one key player will be absent, adding an element of uncertainty to the matchup.

Crimson Tide left tackle Kadyn Proctor, a pivotal figure on Alabama’s offensive line, is “expected” to miss the game due to a persistent shoulder injury that has plagued him for much of the season. Proctor, who has been a rock for the Tide, is set to undergo surgery to address the injury. Freshman Wilkin Formby, who has already filled in for Proctor during his previous absences, will take over the left tackle spot. Although Proctor’s absence will be felt, Formby’s experience as a starter this season provides a solid foundation for Alabama’s line.

This injury creates additional tension heading into a showdown with Michigan’s powerful defense, known for its fierce pass rush and dominant front seven. With Proctor sidelined, Alabama’s ability to protect their quarterback will be under intense scrutiny, particularly from Michigan’s edge rushers.

Meanwhile, Alabama’s star quarterback Jalen Milroe remains a key figure in the Tide’s offense. Milroe is expected to start, but his future beyond the bowl game remains unclear, with speculation surrounding a potential NFL Draft declaration in April. This could very well be Milroe’s final appearance in an Alabama uniform, making the game even more significant for both the player and the program.
