Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, has officially joined the NFL’s executive ranks and now owns a stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady emphasized his joy and gratitude in a widely shared statement on social media, emphasizing the significance of joining the famous team. “It’s an incredible honor to be approved as a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders,” he told me. “Football is built on teamwork, resilience, and the quest of greatness values that the Raiders and Las Vegas strongly exemplify. I’m excited to be a part of that tradition.
Reflecting on his journey, Brady acknowledged that his love for football has come full circle, from growing up in the Bay Area to spending 23 seasons in the NFL with the Patriots and Buccaneers. “Football has been my life, and now I get to stay connected to the game in a way I never imagined. Being part of this incredible league forever is a blessing.”
Brady also expressed appreciation for Raiders owner Mark Davis, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and other NFL owners for their support. “I’m grateful to Mark for bringing me into the Raiders family and to the other NFL owners who made this possible,” he wrote. “I also want to thank my partner Tom Wagner, Don Yee, Jim Gray, and others who helped make this happen.
Mark Davis, the Raiders’ owner, expressed delight about Brady’s arrival. “Though Tom won’t be suiting up on the field, we know he can help us make big decisions off the field,” says Davis. The Raiders believe Brady’s experience will be beneficial, particularly in terms of selecting and developing future players. Brady’s transfer to part-ownership was not without difficulties, especially given his new broadcasting contract with Fox. Clark Hunt, the Chiefs owner, stated that the transaction took longer than expected owing to “complex structural and due diligence issues,” but that all concerns were eventually addressed. Despite these obstacles, Brady is now ready to lead the Raiders back to their former glory.
Brady’s legacy is already established thanks to his unrivaled NFL records of 251 victories, over 7,750 completions, 649 touchdowns, and more than 89,000 passing yards. Now he starts on this new chapter, hoping to add another dimension to his historic football career, this time from the executive suite.
