BREAKING: Manchester United face an injury setback ahead of the Tottenham clash, prompting three unexpected lineup changes.

Manchester United has confirmed their starting lineup for the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur, which includes three changes from their previous lineup. Amad Diallo and Christian Eriksen are rested following recent strong performances, while Alejandro Garnacho and Manuel Ugarte are called up. Matthijs de Ligt returns to the starting lineup in place of Harry Maguire, who is injured.

Maguire, who participated in United’s midweek Europa League match with FC Twente, is out due to an injury sustained in training. He joins Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Leny Yoro as United’s defensive absentees. Victor Lindelof’s return to the bench for the first time this season provides a glimmer of hope.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping that these changes work in United’s favor, as they face a Tottenham side missing their captain, Heung-min Son, who sustained an injury during Spurs’ 3-0 Europa League victory over Qarabag. Tottenham’s assault is led by Timo Werner, with Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, and Dejan Kulusevski providing support.

United’s starting lineup: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Ugarte, Mainoo, Fernandes (captain); Garnacho, Rashford, and Zirkzee. Subs include Bayindir, Evans, Lindelof, Casemiro, Eriksen, Mount, Amad, Antony, and Hojlund.
