BREAKING: A record-breaking yellow card frenzy as Bournemouth versus Chelsea heats up – Coaches Caught in the Chaos!

Chelsea’s game against Bournemouth set a new Premier League standard for yellow cards, with referee Anthony Taylor issuing 14 throughout the game.

Taylor handed 14 yellow cards for 25 fouls committed by both teams, the majority of which were due to dissent and unsportsmanlike behavior. Bournemouth were also awarded a penalty in the first half, prompting Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to receive a yellow card. Both managers were also booked, though these do not count toward the record.

Despite being under pressure for all of the game, Chelsea pulled out a late victory at Vitality Stadium, with Christopher Nkunku scoring in the 86th minute after debutant Jadon Sancho set him up. With two wins from their first four matches, Enzo Maresca’s team climbed up to seventh place.

The previous Premier League record most bookings was 13, set last season in Tottenham’s 2-1 victory against Sheffield United. Tottenham scored two late goals in that game, and United were reduced to ten men after Oli McBurnie received his second yellow card.

Chelsea now has a week off before facing London rivals West Ham United next Saturday. Bournemouth, on the other hand, travel to Anfield to face Liverpool, who will be aiming to recover from a setback to Nottingham Forest under manager Arne Slot.
