With multiple injuries bothering both sides, the Ball State vs. Miami game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM Eastern Time. Chris Cotter will call the action, Mark Herzlich will offer analysis, and Coley Harvey will be on the sidelines for the ACC Network broadcast of the game. Josh Darrow will report from the sidelines on WQAM, Don Bailey Jr. will provide commentary, and Joe Zagacki will call the plays for listeners on the radio.
Catch the ACC Network Huddle Pregame Show at 11:00 AM before the game, which will start at noon with Louisiana Tech vs. North Carolina State. Hosted by Danny Rabinowitz and Brian Monroe, Miami’s pregame coverage airs on WQAM from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Zagaacki, Bailey Jr., and the pregame show Darrow begins at three thirty. Highlights and analysis from Rabinowitz’s show air during halftime, and WQAM’s Alex Donno will present a two-hour post-game show including locker room updates.
Eight players are listed as questionable on Miami’s injury report, including defensive lineman Rueben Bain, offensive linemen Ryan Rodriguez and Jalen Rivers, and cornerback Damari Brown. Rodriguez and Rivers were injured in the game against Florida A&M last week, so Bain and Brown are probably out of the Ball State game. Matt McCoy and Markel Bell took over as starters, and if Rodriguez and Rivers are still sidelined, redshirt freshman Samson Okunlola might see more action.
Key players Justin Boswick, Trey Firestone, and Ty Robinson—wide outs who missed Ball State’s season-opening victory over Missouri State—may also be out of the lineup. Also listed on the injury report are defensive lineman Hunter Sanderson and defensive back Eric McLain. Despite these difficulties, Miami is in a good position to handle the injuries and be ready for their last non-conference game, which takes place against South Florida this Saturday night. The ACC season kicks off against Virginia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium on September 27 and lasts for a short week.
