BREAKING: Manchester United is on the brink of making another crucial hire, potentially bringing in a high-profile talent from Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United is set to further enhance their revamped team behind the scenes, with reports indicating that Marc Armstrong, formerly PSG’s Chief Revenue Officer, is poised to join the club.

According to French outlet L’Equipe, the Red Devils are preparing to bring Armstrong on board to collaborate with Jean-Claude Blanc once more. Blanc, who now serves as a director at Manchester United, previously worked with Armstrong at PSG before moving to Old Trafford earlier this year.

Armstrong’s career includes a decade-long tenure with the Football Association as Head of Business Development, followed by commercial roles with the NFL and NBA. He joined PSG in 2018 as Chief Partnerships Officer and was promoted to Chief Revenue Officer in 2022.

Although Armstrong’s specific role at Manchester United is yet to be determined, his primary focus will be on revenue generation—a critical task given the Red Devils’ recent financial losses. With Premier League clubs limited to a £105m loss over a rolling three-year period, these losses could impact Manchester United’s adherence to Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).

The club has stated: “Manchester United remains dedicated to complying with both the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules and UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Regulations.”

CEO Omar Berrada added: “We are striving for greater financial stability and making operational adjustments to enhance efficiency, ensuring our resources are effectively used to improve on-pitch performance.
