On the Monday, September 2 episode of “The Dominique Foxworth Show,” ESPN insider Mina Kimes predicted that the Las Vegas Raiders would trade wide receiver Davante Adams to the Washington Commanders by mid-season. Kimes, Foxworth, and fellow ESPN contributor Bill Barnwell also made bold NFL predictions.
“I remain convinced he is an excellent wide receiver. “It’s obvious he wasn’t pleased with the situation in Las Vegas last year,” Kimes added. She said that the Commanders might be a team that is “just feisty enough” to pursue a trade and would be driven to help their rookie quarterback by signing Adams. Kimes also speculated that if the Commanders made the trade, they would most likely hold Adams for the long term.
At the same time, Adams answered the reports on Wednesday, denying former NFL receiver DeSean Jackson’s assertions that he wants to leave Las Vegas. “The facts are the facts, and that’s not a fact,” Adams told ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez, adding that he had never discussed his future plans with Jackson. Adams stated, “If it ain’t from the horse’s mouth, it’s probably bull****.” With the NFL trade deadline on November 5, Adams’ status in Las Vegas might be a major subject in the coming months, but it could also become a locker-room distraction.
