The top Alabama recruit, Na’eem Offord, has committed to Ohio State, but the Auburn Tigers are making a serious push to change that. Auburn Football might beat Alabama A&M this weekend, as well as score a huge recruiting victory. Tom Loy of 247 Sports has made a Crystal Ball Prediction that five-star cornerback Na’eem Offord may switch his commitment from Ohio State to Auburn.
I consulted with several people and decided to include a 247Sports Crystal Ball pick for Auburn in the hopes of eventually flipping Na’eem Offord, a five-star cornerback presently committed to Ohio State,” Loy wrote on X. “We’ll see if they can pull it off.” Offord, the sixth-ranked player in the country and the top-ranked player in Alabama, is scheduled to visit Auburn this weekend. If the visit goes well, he could be the next outstanding player looking for a career with the Tigers.
Auburn has already received commitments from eight of Alabama’s top ten recruits, with the remaining two still committed to Ohio State. Flipping Offord would get Auburn closer to a clean sweep of the state’s top players.
Auburn currently ranks fifth in 247 Sports’ 2025 recruiting class rankings. A successful flip of Offord would not only earn a top commitment for Auburn, but it could also drive them into the top four, reducing the distance on Ohio State, who currently has the top recruiting class. Offord would immediately become Auburn’s highest-rated commit, surpassing their current top pledge, edge rusher Jared Smith, who is ranked second in Alabama.
