BREAKING: Texas Receives Commitment Prediction for 5-Star Super Star.

The Texas Longhorns have been searching for their third five-star commitment for the 2025 recruiting class. With the recent commitment of five-star safety/linebacker Jonah Williams, the Longhorns may not be done yet, as five-star WR commit Kaliq Lockett intimated over the weekend. On3 scouting expert Steve Wiltfong said on Monday that Texas would likely receive a commitment from five-star athlete Michael Terry III, one of the most versatile athletes in the 2025 class. Texas, Oregon, Nebraska, and Texas A&M are among the schools competing for his pledge.

Terry III, a native of Alamo Heights in San Antonio, has excelled as a receiver and running back throughout his high school career. According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect could also play tight end or defensively as a safety or linebacker. Terry III’s adaptability is reminiscent of recent Texas players like Jordan Whittington and Savion Red, who have successfully switched positions. Terry’s college status is undetermined, but his potential effect is obvious.

Terry III finished his high school career with 50 receptions for 758 yards and 10 touchdowns, as well as 93 rushes for 826 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also returned two kickoffs to score. In an interview with Steve Wiltfong, Terry lauded Texas, adding, “There is never a dull time. Going over things with Coach Tashard Choice and observing the practice helped me better grasp how I’ll collaborate with different position coaches to build diverse skills. Terry has made official visits to Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M. He said, “I always believed Texas was a good fit for me, just like Oregon and Nebraska. That’s why I’m making these final trips to guarantee I make the proper selection.”
