Club Secures Sell-On Clause in Nottingham Forest Transfer Deal

FC Porto has obtained a sell-on option in a €15 million deal for transferring David Carmo to Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old center-back spent the previous season on loan at Nottingham Forest’s sister club Olympiacos. During his outstanding stint in Greece, Carmo helped Olympiacos win the Europa Conference League. According to Portuguese news outlet Maisfutebol, Porto has agreed for transferring Carmo to Nottingham Forest.

The Premier League club will pay a €11 million fixed fee for the defender, plus €4 million in add-ons. Porto has also added a 10% sell-on provision, which means that the transfer may result in additional money in the future. When Carmo moves to Nottingham Forest, we will then send Olympiacos, the Greek powerhouse, has taken him on loan. Porto spent €20 million, plus €2.5 million in add-ons, to sign Carmo from Braga in 2022.
