West Ham face potential setback as star player features for full 90 minutes in Lopetegui’s debut match.

Stuttgart is reportedly planning a summer bid to re-sign West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.
Mavropanos played three seasons with Die Roten between 2020 and 2023, first on contract from Arsenal for two seasons before moving permanently in the summer of 2022.
Before joining West Ham last summer, the 26-year-old Greece international played 89 games for Stuttgart in all competitions, scoring eight goals and helping the club in establishing itself as a Bundesliga the group.

The 26-year-old has been deeply linked with a departure from the London Stadium this summer.
Despite being understood to be out of new manager Julen Lopetegui’s plans, Mavropanos played the whole 90 minutes in the Spaniard’s debut game in command of the Hammers on Saturday, as they lost 2-1 at home to Aston Villa.
Nonetheless, Mavropanos’ departure appears probable, and according to German source Kicker (via Get Football News Germany), Stuttgart are eager on bringing the defender back to the MHPArena aims to enhance their roster for the Champions League after placing second in the Bundesliga previous season, ahead of Bayern Munich.
Along with Mavropanos, Southampton’s Armel Bella-Kotchap, Burnley defender Ameen Al-Dakhil, and Sevilla’s Loic Bade all believed to be on Stuttgart’s shortlist — although the Baden-Württemberg squad is considered to be prioritizing Mavropanos.
