Roy Keane discloses his desire to quit football punditry,

Roy Keane announced that he intends to retire from football punditry within the next decade.
Last year, the Manchester United legend got involved in a confrontation with an Arsenal fan at Emirates Stadium.

Scott Law, 43, was banned from watching sport for three years in June after being accused of headbutting Keane after Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over United last season.

On the Sky Bet-sponsored Stick to Football podcast, he explained, “I don’t believe I’ll be doing punditry in ten years’ time.”
I love football but dislike the trouble of attending games and interacting with fans.
I was in court a few months ago with somebody punching me; do you believe i like that aspect of it? Certainly not.’

The games are okay. Traveling to the games, parking, and people shouting your name – positive and negative – is a nuisance. Being a pundit in ten years, no.’
Keane told the court later this year in Highbury that he ‘couldn’t believe’ he had come under attack because he had not seen anyone pursuing him.

He declared, “There was some disorientation, a lot of people, a lot of noise, and yelling as you would expect, with five to ten minutes remain in the soccer game.” I was hit before I knew what was happening. I just felt the contact, and I’ve tumbled back through several doors.

‘The only word I can describe it is shock. I didn’t expect that.

Not while I was at work.
When asked to identify his profession, Keane stopped before answering, ‘Erm, pundit, obviously’, before revealing that he also ‘is some podcasting stuff’.

Micah Richards appeared to step in to settle an apparent disagreement, according to social media footage.
On this, Keane told the court: “Micah now gets hold of somebody.” He was merely trying to get a hold of him and keep him from going away.
‘I heard someone say, “Call the police.” Micah held him up against a wall for around 15 or 20 seconds, prohibiting him from going.

Reported to the court, Law fled the scene when Mr Richards lost his grip. Specialists moved on to deliver their post-match commentary.

Keane, who who was celebrating his 53rd birthday on the show, started his career as a pundit in 2011, just five years after retiring from the activity.
His convictions and unique delivery style have made him highly regarded among fans in the role.

Keane spoke about Manchester United’s believes for the next season, recognizing that the team’s spine worries him.

‘The competition has always been a source of worry for me, and I continue to be worried about Manchester United’s spine. Despite their outstanding performance and talented players, I am worried about the goalkeeper and striker.

‘On paper, we have a decent group, but the truth is that we have played activities, and last year with their record in the league they were so open, If you’re on about competing, I worry about the spine of the team.
