Manchester United are said to be close to agreeing to a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for an exchange involving Jadon Sancho, with Marcus Rashford having been mentioned as another prospective target for the French giants.
Manchester want to sign PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte, although the champions of Ligue 1 want a Reds star in exchange. Rashford, who toiled last season, has been continuously linked with a move to Parc des Princes.
Sancho, on the other hand, was just reintroduced into the club by manager Erik ten Hag despite a fallout last year. It seems the previous Borussia Dortmund player will be exiting Old Trafford again.
Following lengthy summer discussions, it looks that a deal among United and PSG is now in reach. Nevertheless, these discussions have forced Manchester to make a choice on Rashford’s future.
Apparently to The Independent, Sancho is likely to join PSG on contract with a buy possibility. The French club played Sancho in the tournament’s semi-finals last season, when he starred for his loan club, Dortmund.
PSG appears to be open to a trade, with Sancho eager to transfer to the French capital. These talks are part of the continuing discussions around Ugarte, as both teams aim to finalize a deal for the midfielder.
United have identified their defensive midfield as an area that needs for enhancement this summer, with Ugarte is their chosen field target. Ten Hag has been reported to be a great fan of the 23-year-old, and United’s newly formed recruiting team shares the same opinion.
Particularly, Sancho isn’t the only player United have offered to PSG; Rashford has also been mentioned in conversations. Nevertheless, a move is impossible, as the England forward remains intent to ‘nailed down’ at United.
